Eastview Spring Dig Tournament Information
DIRECTIONS TO EASTVIEW:
Eastview H.S. 6200 140th St. W. Apple Valley, 55124
From 494 & 77/Cedar (Mall of America) 8 miles south on 77/Cedar to 140th St.W.
Turn left (East) on 140th St. go 1 mile to Flagstaff.
Turn right (South) on Flagstaff.
Park in west lot, lower level and enter west door.
140th is approximately 1 mile N of Cty Rd 42 and parallel to Cty Rd 42.
Eastview H.S. is approx. 1 mile west of Pilot Knob Rd.
COACHES MEETING:
There will be a brief coaches meeting at 7:45 by the score table of Court 3.
CONCESSIONS:
Concessions will be available. NO food or drinks allowed in any gym, except closed-top water bottles. Sports drinks and coffee are NOT ALLOWED in the gym. No outside chairs are allowed. The same rules apply to spectators. Please pass this information on to parents and friends. Teams may camp out on the running track above the main gym. There is no admission cost to spectators.
OFFICIATING:
A coach must be the up or down Ref.
WARM UPS:
Teams must provide their own warm up balls.
First and Second round - 10 Minutes: 4 minutes for serving team, 4 minutes for receiving team, 2 minutes serving
Subsequent rounds - 5 minutes: 2 minutes for serving team, 2 minutes for receiving team, 1 minute serving
POOLS:
Pool Play will begin at 8:00 a.m.
4 Team Pools: Matches will be 2 games to 25 in pool play (no cap, no third game). In the event that teams split the 2 games in pool play, point differential will determine the match winner.
3 Team Pools: Matches will be 3 games to 25 in pool play (no cap, play all three games). The third game will count in determining pool position if game record is necessary to break a tie.
Pool position will be determined by (without repetition):
1. Match record
2. Head to Head
3. Game record
4. Point Differential
5. Coin Flip
PLAYOFFS:
The 1st and 2nd place two teams from each pool will go to the Gold Division. The 3rd and 4th place teams will go to the Silver Division. All matches in playoffs are 25, 25, 15 format. Best 2/3. The playoffs will start immediately after the completion of Pool Play. Playoffs on some courts may begin before Pool Play is completed on other courts. After your pool is completed, please go to your playoff court. Teams not at the appropriate court, ready to play, may have to forfeit.
