4-team pool format
* 3 sets will be played for all matches (25/25/15 cap at 27 & 17). Do not switch at 8 during pool play
* Tie-breaker will be: match record; game record; point difference within pool play matches
* Warm ups: Use USJO Nat’l format: 4min serving team, 4min receiving team. Team serving time is included within their 4 minutes
* All teams will advance to playoffs. First in pool to gold division, 2nd to silver, 3rd to bronze, and 4th to copper.

5-team pool format
* 2 sets will be played for all matches (25/25, cap at 27)
* 3 points will be awarded each match; 1point will be given for each win, plus bonus point for largest point differential
* Warm ups: Use USJO Nat’l format: 4min serving team, 4min receiving team. Team serving time is included within their 4 minutes
* Pool standing will be determined by most points earned. Tiebreaker will be fewest points allowed in pool.
* The 5th place team WILL NOT advance to the playoffs. The top 4 teams will advance to playoffs: First in pool to gold division, 2nd to silver, 3rd to bronze, and 4th to copper.
PLAYOFF Format
◊ Playoff matches will be best 2 of 3 (25-25-15 – no cap). Winning teams will advance, losing teams need to check refereeing schedule before leaving.
◊ NO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed on the courts or at the scoring table! Thank You.
◊ NO CELL PHONES or MUSIC DEVICES for the officiating crew – this includes the scoring table!
Coaches Meeting:
Mandatory coaches meeting will be held at 7:40 a.m. Please make sure you have a coach in attendance. Any changes in the schedule will be drawn up immediately at 7:45 a.m. if there are any teams missing. The coach of the officiating team may be the up or down ref during pool play as well as playoffs.
Admission:
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. at the Rec Center. Concessions will be available, including Subway sandwiches. This is a fundraiser for our club, so please support the concessions area. NO COOLERS or FOOD may be brought into the building. Please inform players and parents of this rule. Only closed top water bottles are allowed in the gym. Seating is limited so please inform parents that they may want to bring their own chair.
